   Verily I say unto you, my friends, behold, I will give unto you a revelation and commandment, that you may know how to act in the discharge of your duties concerning the salvation and redemption of your brethren, who have been scattered on the land of Zion;

   גֹּרְשׁוּgor/SHUbeing drivenוְהֻכּוּve/huk/KUand smittenבִּידֵיbi/DEby the handsאֹיְבַיoy/VAYof my enemiesאֲשֶׁרa/SHERon whomאֶשְׁפֹּךְesh/POKHI will pour outעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMupon themחֲמָתִיcha/ma/TImy wrathבְּלֹאbe/LOwithoutמִדָּהmid/DAmeasureבְעִתִּי׃ve/it/TIin my own time

   Being driven and smitten by the hands of mine enemies, on whom I will pour out my wrath without measure in mine own time.

   For I have suffered them thus far, that they might fill up the measure of their iniquities, that their cup might be full;

   And that those who call themselves after my name might be chastened for a little season with a sore and grievous chastisement, because they did not hearken altogether unto the precepts and commandments which I gave unto them.

   But verily I say unto you, that I have decreed a decree which my people shall realize, inasmuch as they hearken from this very hour unto the counsel which I, the Lord their God, shall give unto them.

   הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdיָחֵלּוּya/chel/LUthey shall beginכִּיkiforכֵןkhensoגָּזַרְתִּיga/zar/TII decreed itלִגְבֹּרlig/BORto prevailעַלalagainstאֹיְבַיoy/VAYmy enemiesמֵהַשָּׁעָהme/hash/sha/Afrom the hourהַזֹּאתhaz/ZOTthisעַצְמָהּ׃ats/MAvery

   Behold they shall, for I have decreed it, begin to prevail against mine enemies from this very hour.

   And by hearkening to observe all the words which I, the Lord their God, shall speak unto them, they shall never cease to prevail until the kingdoms of the world are subdued under my feet, and the earth is given unto the saints, to possess it forever and ever.

   But inasmuch as they keep not my commandments, and hearken not to observe all my words, the kingdoms of the world shall prevail against them.

   כִּיkiforהוּקְמוּhuk/MUthey were setלִהְיוֹתlih/YOTto beאוֹרora lightלָעוֹלָםla/o/LAMunto the worldוּמוֹשִׁיעֵיu/mo/shi/Eand to be the saviorsאֲנָשִׁים׃a/na/SHIMof men

   For they were set to be a light unto the world, and to be the saviors of men;

    וּכְפִיu/khe/FIand inasmuch asאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatאֵינָםe/NAMthey are notמוֹשִׁיעֵיmo/shi/Ethe saviorsאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMof menהֵםhemareכְּמֶלַחke/ME/lachas saltאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichפָּגpaglostטַעְמוֹta/MOits savorוּמֵאָזu/me/AZand is thenceforthאֵינוֹe/NOis notטוֹבtovgoodלִמְאוּמָהlim/U/mafor anythingכִּי־אִםki-imbutלְהִשָּׁלֵךְle/hish/sha/LEKHto be castחוּצָהCHU/tsaoutוְלִהְיוֹתve/lih/YOTand to beמִרְמָסmir/MAStrodden under footלִבְנֵיliv/NEof the sonsאָדָם׃a/DAMof men

    And inasmuch as they are not the saviors of men, they are as salt that has lost its savor, and is thenceforth good for nothing but to be cast out and trodden under foot of men.

    אַךְakhbutאָמֵןa/MENverilyאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youגָּזַרְתִּיga/zar/TII decreedאֲשֶׁר־יָשׁוּבוּa/SHER-ya/SHU/vuthat shall returnאֲחֵיכֶםa/che/KHEMyour brethrenהַנְּפוֹצִיםhan/ne/fo/TSIMwhich have been scatteredאֶל־אַרְצוֹתel-ar/TSOTto the landsנַחֲלוֹתֵיהֶםna/cha/lo/te/HEMof their inheritancesוְיִבְנוּve/yiv/NUand shall build upחׇרְבוֹתchor/VOTthe waste placesצִיּוֹן׃Tsiy/YONof Zion

    But verily I say unto you, I have decreed that your brethren which have been scattered shall return to the lands of their inheritances, and shall build up the waste places of Zion.

    כִּיkiforאַחֲרֵיa/cha/REafterצָרָהtsa/RAtribulationרַבָּהrab/BAmuchכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tiI saidלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youבְּמִצְוָהbe/mits/VAin a commandmentקֹדֶמֶתko/DE/metformerבָּאָהba/Acomesהַבְּרָכָה׃hab/be/ra/KHAthe blessing

    For after much tribulation, as I have said unto you in a former commandment, cometh the blessing.

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdזֹאתzotthis isהַבְּרָכָהhab/be/ra/KHAthe blessingאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichהִבְטַחְתִּיhiv/tach/TII promisedאַחַרa/CHARafterצָרוֹתֵיכֶםtsa/ro/te/KHEMyour tribulationsוְצָרוֹתve/tsa/ROTand the tribulationsאֲחֵיכֶםa/che/KHEMof your brethrenגְּאֻלַּתְכֶםge/ul/lat/KHEMyour redemptionוּגְאֻלַּתu/ge/ul/LATand the redemptionאֲחֵיכֶםa/che/KHEMof your brethrenגַּםgamevenהֲשָׁבָתָםha/sha/va/TAMtheir restorationלְאֶרֶץle/E/retsto the landצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONof Zionלְהִכּוֹנֵןle/hik/ko/NENto be establishedלְבַלle/VALthat notיֻפְּלוּyup/pe/LUbe thrown downעוֹד׃odno more

    Behold, this is the blessing which I have promised after your tribulations, and the tribulations of your brethren—your redemption, and the redemption of your brethren, even their restoration to the land of Zion, to be established, no more to be thrown down.

14. 14

    אַךְakhneverthelessאִםimifיְטַמְּאוּye/tam/me/Uthey polluteנַחֲלוֹתֵיהֶםna/cha/lo/te/HEMtheir inheritancesיֻפְּלוּyup/pe/LUthey shall be thrown downכִּיkiforלֹאlonotאֶחְמֹלech/MOLI will spareעֲלֵיהֶםa/le/HEMthemאִםimifיְטַמְּאוּye/tam/me/Uthey polluteנַחֲלוֹתֵיהֶם׃na/cha/lo/te/HEMtheir inheritances

    Nevertheless, if they pollute their inheritances they shall be thrown down; for I will not spare them if they pollute their inheritances.

15. 15

    הִנֵּהhin/NEbeholdאֲנִיa/NIIאֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youגְּאֻלַּתge/ul/LATthe redemptionצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONof Zionבּוֹאbomust needsתָבוֹאta/VOcomeבְּכֹחַ׃be/KHO/achby power

    Behold, I say unto you, the redemption of Zion must needs come by power;

16. 16

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeאָקִיםa/KIMI will raise upלְעַמִּיle/am/MIunto my peopleאִישׁisha manאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhoיוֹלִיכֵםyo/li/KHEMshall lead themכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERlike asהוֹלִיךְho/LIKHledמֹשֶׁהMo/SHEMosesבְּנֵיbe/NEthe childrenיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Yis/ra/ELof Israel

    Therefore, I will raise up unto my people a man, who shall lead them like as Moses led the children of Israel.

17. 17

    כִּיkiforבְּנֵיbe/NEthe childrenיִשְׂרָאֵלYis/ra/ELof Israelאַתֶּםat/TEMyou areוּמִזֶּרַעu/miz/ZE/raand of the seedאַבְרָהָםAv/ra/HAMof Abrahamוְהֵעָלֹהve/he/a/LOand must needsתֵּעָלוּte/a/LUyou be led outמֵעַבְדוּתme/av/DUTof bondageבְּכֹחַbe/KHO/achby powerוּבִזְרוֹעַu/viz/RO/aand with armנְטוּיָה׃ne/tu/YAa stretched-out

    For ye are the children of Israel, and of the seed of Abraham, and ye must needs be led out of bondage by power, and with a stretched-out arm.

18. 18

    וְכַאֲשֶׁרve/kha/a/SHERand asהוּבְלוּhuv/LUwere ledאֲבוֹתֵיכֶםa/vo/te/KHEMyour fathersבָּרִאשׁוֹנָהba/ri/sho/NAat the firstכֵּןkeneven soתִּהְיֶהtih/YEshall beגְּאֻלַּתge/ul/LATthe redemptionצִיּוֹן׃Tsiy/YONof Zion

    And as your fathers were led at the first, even so shall the redemption of Zion be.

19. 19

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeאַלallet notיֵרַךְye/RAKHfaintלְבַבְכֶםle/vav/KHEMyour heartsכִּיkiforאֵינֶנִּיe/NEN/niI notאוֹמֵרo/MERsayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHERasאָמַרְתִּיa/MAR/tiI saidלַאֲבוֹתֵיכֶםla/a/vo/te/KHEMunto your fathersמַלְאָכִיmal/a/KHImy angelיַעֲלֶהya/a/LEshall go upלִפְנֵיכֶםlif/ne/KHEMbefore youאַךְakhbutלֹאlonotפָּנַי׃pa/NAYmy presence

    Therefore, let not your hearts faint, for I say not unto you as I said unto your fathers: Mine angel shall go up before you, but not my presence.

    כִּי־אִםki-imbutאֹמַרo/MARI sayלָכֶםla/KHEMunto youמַלְאָכַיmal/a/KHAYmy angelsיַעֲלוּya/a/LUshall go upלִפְנֵיכֶםlif/ne/KHEMbefore youוְגַםve/GAMand alsoפָּנַיpa/NAYmy presenceוּבָעֵתu/va/ETand in timeתִּירְשׁוּti/re/SHUyou shall possessהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landהַטּוֹבָה׃hat/to/VAgoodly

    But I say unto you: Mine angels shall go up before you, and also my presence, and in time ye shall possess the goodly land.

    Verily, verily I say unto you, that my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., is the man to whom I likened the servant to whom the Lord of the vineyard spake in the parable which I have given unto you.

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeיֹאמַרyo/MARlet sayעַבְדִּיav/DImy servantיוֹסֵףYo/SEFJosephסְמִיתSe/MITSmithהַבֵּןHab/BENJunלְעֹזle/OZunto the strengthבֵּיתִיbe/TIof my houseבַּחוּרַיba/chu/RAYmy young menוּבֵינוֹנַיu/ve/no/NAYand the middle agedהֵאָסְפוּhe/a/se/FUgather yourselvesיַחְדָּוyach/DAVtogetherאֶל־אֶרֶץel-E/retsunto the landצִיּוֹןTsiy/YONof Zionעַלaluponהָאָרֶץha/A/retsthe landאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichקָנִיתִיka/NI/tiI boughtבְּכֶסֶףbe/KHE/sefwith moneyאֲשֶׁר־הֻקְדַּשׁa/SHER-huk/DASHthat has been consecratedלִי׃liunto me

    Therefore let my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., say unto the strength of my house, my young men and the middle aged—Gather yourselves together unto the land of Zion, upon the land which I have bought with money that has been consecrated unto me.

    וְיִשְׁלְחוּve/yish/le/CHUand let send upכׇּל־הַכְּנֵסִיּוֹתkol-hak/ke/ne/siy/YOTall the churchesאֲנָשִׁיםa/na/SHIMmenחֲכָמִיםcha/kha/MIMwiseעִםimwithכַּסְפֵּיהֶםkas/pe/HEMtheir moneysוְיִקְנוּve/yik/NUand purchaseאֲרָצוֹתa/ra/TSOTlandsכַּאֲשֶׁרka/a/SHEReven asצִוִּיתִים׃tsiv/vi/TIMI commanded them

    And let all the churches send up wise men with their moneys, and purchase lands even as I have commanded them.

    And inasmuch as mine enemies come against you to drive you from my goodly land, which I have consecrated to be the land of Zion, even from your own lands after these testimonies, which ye have brought before me against them, ye shall curse them;

25. 25

    וְאֶת־אֲשֶׁרve/ET-a/SHERand whomsoeverתְּקַלְּלוּte/kal/le/LUyou curseאֲקַלֵּלa/kal/LELI will curseוְתִנְקְמוּve/tin/ke/MUand you shall avengeלִיlimeמֵאֹיְבַי׃me/oy/VAYof my enemies

    And whomsoever ye curse, I will curse, and ye shall avenge me of mine enemies.

26. 26

    וּפָנַיu/fa/NAYand my presenceיִהְיוּyih/YUshall beאִתְּכֶםit/te/KHEMwith youגַּםgamevenבְּהִנָּקְמִיbe/hin/na/ke/MIin avenging meמֵאֹיְבַיme/oy/VAYof my enemiesעַדaduntoהַדּוֹרhad/DORthe generationהַשְּׁלִישִׁיhash/she/li/SHIthirdוְהָרְבִיעִיve/ha/re/vi/Iand fourthלְשֹׂנְאָי׃le/son/AYof them that hate me

    And my presence shall be with you even in avenging me of mine enemies, unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.

    אַלallet noיִירָאyi/RAbe afraidאִישׁishmanלְהַנִּיחַle/han/NI/achto lay downנַפְשׁוֹnaf/SHOhis lifeלְמַעֲנִיle/ma/a/NIfor my sakeכִּיkiforכׇל־הַמַּנִּיחַkhol-ham/man/NI/achwhoso lays downנַפְשׁוֹnaf/SHOhis lifeלְמַעֲנִיle/ma/a/NIfor my sakeיִמְצָאֶנָּהyim/tsa/en/NAshall find itשֵׁנִית׃she/NITagain

    Let no man be afraid to lay down his life for my sake; for whoso layeth down his life for my sake shall find it again.

    וְכׇל־אֲשֶׁרve/KHOL-a/SHERand whosoאֵינוֹe/NOis notרוֹצֶהro/TSEwillingלְהַנִּיחַle/han/NI/achto lay downנַפְשׁוֹnaf/SHOhis lifeלְמַעֲנִיle/ma/a/NIfor my sakeאֵינוֹe/NOis notתַלְמִידִי׃tal/mi/DImy disciple

    And whoso is not willing to lay down his life for my sake is not my disciple.

    רְצוֹנִיre/tso/NIit is my willאֲשֶׁרa/SHERthatיָרִיםya/RIMhe shall lift upעַבְדִּיav/DImy servantסִידְנִיSi/de/NISidneyרִיגְדּוֹןRig/DONRigdonקוֹלוֹko/LOhis voiceבַּקְּהִלּוֹתbak/ke/hil/LOTin the congregationsבְּאַרְצוֹתbe/ar/TSOTin the countriesהַמִּזְרָחham/miz/RACHof the eastלְהָכִיןle/ha/KHINin preparingהַכְּנֵסִיּוֹתhak/ke/ne/siy/YOTthe churchesלִשְׁמֹרlish/MORto keepהַמִּצְוֹתham/mits/VOTthe commandmentsאֲשֶׁרa/SHERwhichנָתַתִּיna/TAT/tiI gaveלָהֶםla/HEMthemעַלalconcerningהֲשָׁבַתha/sha/VATthe restorationוּגְאֻלַּתu/ge/ul/LATand redemptionצִיּוֹן׃Tsiy/YONof Zion

    It is my will that my servant Sidney Rigdon shall lift up his voice in the congregations in the eastern countries, in preparing the churches to keep the commandments which I have given unto them concerning the restoration and redemption of Zion.

    It is my will that my servant Parley P. Pratt and my servant Lyman Wight should not return to the land of their brethren, until they have obtained companies to go up unto the land of Zion, by tens, or by twenties, or by fifties, or by an hundred, until they have obtained to the number of five hundred of the strength of my house.

    Behold this is my will; ask and ye shall receive; but men do not always do my will.

    לָכֵןla/KHENthereforeאִםimifלֹאlonotתוּכְלוּtukh/LUyou canלְהַשִּׂיגle/has/SIGobtainחֲמֵשׁcha/MESHfiveמֵאוֹתme/OThundredבַּקְּשׁוּbak/ke/SHUseekהֵיטֵבhe/TEVdiligentlyאוּלַיu/LAYthat peradventureתַּשִּׂיגוּtas/si/GUyou may obtainשְׁלֹשׁshe/LOSHthreeמֵאוֹת׃me/OThundred

    Therefore, if you cannot obtain five hundred, seek diligently that peradventure you may obtain three hundred.

    But verily I say unto you, a commandment I give unto you, that ye shall not go up unto the land of Zion until you have obtained a hundred of the strength of my house, to go up with you unto the land of Zion.

    Therefore, as I said unto you, ask and ye shall receive; pray earnestly that peradventure my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., may go with you, and preside in the midst of my people, and organize my kingdom upon the consecrated land, and establish the children of Zion upon the laws and commandments which have been and which shall be given unto you.
