   Verily I say unto you, my friends, behold, I will give unto you a revelation and commandment, that you may know how to act in the discharge of your duties concerning the salvation and redemption of your brethren, who have been scattered on the land of Zion;

   גֹּרְשׁוּBeing drivenוְהֻכּוּand smittenבִּידֵיby the hands ofאֹיְבַיmy enemiesאֲשֶׁרon whomאֶשְׁפֹּךְI will pour outעֲלֵיהֶםupon themחֲמָתִיmy wrathבְּלֹאwithoutמִדָּהmeasureבְעִתִּי׃in my own time

   Being driven and smitten by the hands of mine enemies, on whom I will pour out my wrath without measure in mine own time.

   כִּיforהִנַּחְתִּיםI have suffered themעַדuntoהֵנָּהthus farלְמַעַןthatיְמַלְּאוּthey might fill upסְאַתthe measure ofעֲוֹנָםtheir iniquitiesוּתִמְלָאthat might be fullכּוֹסָם׃their cup

   For I have suffered them thus far, that they might fill up the measure of their iniquities, that their cup might be full;

   וּלְמַעַןand thatיִוָּסְרוּmight be chastenedהַנִּקְרָאִיםthose who call themselvesעַלafterשְׁמִיmy nameלַמִּצְעָרfor a little seasonבְּמוּסָרwith a chastisementקָשֶׁהsoreוְכָבֵדand grievousיַעַןbecauseלֹאnotשָׁמְעוּthey did hearkenכָּלִילaltogetherלַפִּקּוּדִיםunto the preceptsוְלַמִּצְוֹתand the commandmentsאֲשֶׁרwhichנָתַתִּיI gaveלָהֶם׃unto them

   And that those who call themselves after my name might be chastened for a little season with a sore and grievous chastisement, because they did not hearken altogether unto the precepts and commandments which I gave unto them.

   אַךְButאָמֵןverilyאֲנִיIאֹמֵרsayלָכֶםunto youכִּיthatגָּזַרְתִּיI have decreedגְּזֵרָהa decreeאֲשֶׁרwhichיַשִּׂיגshall realizeעַמִּיmy peopleכְּפִיinasmuch asאֲשֶׁר־יִשְׁמְעוּthey hearkenמֵהַשָּׁעָהfrom the hourהַזֹּאתthisעַצְמָהּveryלָעֵצָהunto the counselאֲשֶׁרwhichאֶתֵּןI shall giveלָהֶםunto themאֲנִיIיְהוָהthe Lordאֱלֹהֵיהֶם׃their God

   But verily I say unto you, that I have decreed a decree which my people shall realize, inasmuch as they hearken from this very hour unto the counsel which I, the Lord their God, shall give unto them.

   הִנֵּהbeholdיָחֵלּוּthey shall beginכִּיforכֵןsoגָּזַרְתִּיI have decreed itלִגְבֹּרto prevailעַלagainstאֹיְבַיmy enemiesמֵהַשָּׁעָהfrom the hourהַזֹּאתthisעַצְמָהּ׃very

   Behold they shall, for I have decreed it, begin to prevail against mine enemies from this very hour.

   וּבִשְׁמָעָםand by hearkeningלִשְׁמֹרto observeכׇּל־הַדְּבָרִיםall the wordsאֲשֶׁרwhichאֲדַבֵּרshall speakאֲלֵיהֶםunto themאֲנִיIיְהוָהthe Lordאֱלֹהֵיהֶםtheir Godלֹאneverיֶחְדְּלוּthey shall ceaseמִלִּגְבֹּרto prevailעַדuntilהֻכְנְעוּare subduedמַמְלְכוֹתthe kingdoms ofהָעוֹלָםthe worldתַּחַתunderרַגְלַיmy feetוְהָאָרֶץand the earthנִתְּנָהis givenלַקְּדוֹשִׁיםunto the saintsלְרִשְׁתָּהּto possess itלְעוֹלָםforeverוָעֶד׃and ever

   And by hearkening to observe all the words which I, the Lord their God, shall speak unto them, they shall never cease to prevail until the kingdoms of the world are subdued under my feet, and the earth is given unto the saints, to possess it forever and ever.

   אַךְButכְּפִיinasmuch asאֲשֶׁר־לֹאthey notיִשְׁמְרוּkeepמִצְוֹתַיmy commandmentsוְלֹאand notיִשְׁמְעוּhearkenלִשְׁמֹרto observeכׇּל־דְּבָרַיall my wordsמַמְלְכוֹתthe kingdoms ofהָעוֹלָםthe worldיִגְבְּרוּshall prevailעֲלֵיהֶם׃against them

   But inasmuch as they keep not my commandments, and hearken not to observe all my words, the kingdoms of the world shall prevail against them.

9. 9

   כִּיforהוּקְמוּthey were setלִהְיוֹתto beאוֹרa lightלָעוֹלָםunto the worldוּמוֹשִׁיעֵיand to be the saviors ofאֲנָשִׁים׃men

   For they were set to be a light unto the world, and to be the saviors of men;

10. 10

    וּכְפִיand inasmuch asאֲשֶׁרthatאֵינָםthey are notמוֹשִׁיעֵיthe saviors ofאֲנָשִׁיםmenהֵםareכְּמֶלַחas saltאֲשֶׁרwhichפָּגhas lostטַעְמוֹits savorוּמֵאָזand is thenceforthאֵינוֹis notטוֹבgoodלִמְאוּמָהfor anythingכִּי־אִםbutלְהִשָּׁלֵךְto be castחוּצָהoutוְלִהְיוֹתand to beמִרְמָסtrodden under footלִבְנֵיof the sons ofאָדָם׃men

    And inasmuch as they are not the saviors of men, they are as salt that has lost its savor, and is thenceforth good for nothing but to be cast out and trodden under foot of men.

11. 11

    אַךְButאָמֵןverilyאֲנִיIאֹמֵרsayלָכֶםunto youגָּזַרְתִּיI have decreedאֲשֶׁר־יָשׁוּבוּthat shall returnאֲחֵיכֶםyour brethrenהַנְּפוֹצִיםwhich have been scatteredאֶל־אַרְצוֹתto the lands ofנַחֲלוֹתֵיהֶםtheir inheritancesוְיִבְנוּand shall build upחׇרְבוֹתthe waste places ofצִיּוֹן׃Zion

    But verily I say unto you, I have decreed that your brethren which have been scattered shall return to the lands of their inheritances, and shall build up the waste places of Zion.

12. 12

    כִּיforאַחֲרֵיafterצָרָהtribulationרַבָּהmuchכַּאֲשֶׁרasאָמַרְתִּיI have saidלָכֶםunto youבְּמִצְוָהin a commandmentקֹדֶמֶתformerבָּאָהcomesהַבְּרָכָה׃the blessing

    For after much tribulation, as I have said unto you in a former commandment, cometh the blessing.

13. 13

    הִנֵּהbeholdזֹאתthis isהַבְּרָכָהthe blessingאֲשֶׁרwhichהִבְטַחְתִּיI have promisedאַחַרafterצָרוֹתֵיכֶםyour tribulationsוְצָרוֹתand the tribulations ofאֲחֵיכֶםyour brethrenגְּאֻלַּתְכֶםyour redemptionוּגְאֻלַּתand the redemption ofאֲחֵיכֶםyour brethrenגַּםevenהֲשָׁבָתָםtheir restorationלְאֶרֶץto the land ofצִיּוֹןZionלְהִכּוֹנֵןto be establishedלְבַלthat notיֻפְּלוּbe thrown downעוֹד׃no more

    Behold, this is the blessing which I have promised after your tribulations, and the tribulations of your brethren—your redemption, and the redemption of your brethren, even their restoration to the land of Zion, to be established, no more to be thrown down.

14. 14

    אַךְneverthelessאִםifיְטַמְּאוּthey polluteנַחֲלוֹתֵיהֶםtheir inheritancesיֻפְּלוּthey shall be thrown downכִּיforלֹאnotאֶחְמֹלI will spareעֲלֵיהֶםthemאִםifיְטַמְּאוּthey polluteנַחֲלוֹתֵיהֶם׃their inheritances

    Nevertheless, if they pollute their inheritances they shall be thrown down; for I will not spare them if they pollute their inheritances.

15. 15

    הִנֵּהbeholdאֲנִיIאֹמֵרsayלָכֶםunto youגְּאֻלַּתthe redemption ofצִיּוֹןZionבּוֹאmust needsתָבוֹאcomeבְּכֹחַ׃by power

    Behold, I say unto you, the redemption of Zion must needs come by power;

16. 16

    לָכֵןthereforeאָקִיםI will raise upלְעַמִּיunto my peopleאִישׁa manאֲשֶׁרwhoיוֹלִיכֵםshall lead themכַּאֲשֶׁרlike asהוֹלִיךְledמֹשֶׁהMosesבְּנֵיthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵל׃Israel

    Therefore, I will raise up unto my people a man, who shall lead them like as Moses led the children of Israel.

17. 17

    כִּיforבְּנֵיthe children ofיִשְׂרָאֵלIsraelאַתֶּםyou areוּמִזֶּרַעand of the seed ofאַבְרָהָםAbrahamוְהֵעָלֹהand must needsתֵּעָלוּyou be led outמֵעַבְדוּתof bondageבְּכֹחַby powerוּבִזְרוֹעַand with armנְטוּיָה׃a stretched-out

    For ye are the children of Israel, and of the seed of Abraham, and ye must needs be led out of bondage by power, and with a stretched-out arm.

18. 18

    וְכַאֲשֶׁרand asהוּבְלוּwere ledאֲבוֹתֵיכֶםyour fathersבָּרִאשׁוֹנָהat the firstכֵּןeven soתִּהְיֶהshall beגְּאֻלַּתthe redemption ofצִיּוֹן׃Zion

    And as your fathers were led at the first, even so shall the redemption of Zion be.

19. 19

    לָכֵןthereforeאַלlet notיֵרַךְfaintלְבַבְכֶםyour heartsכִּיforאֵינֶנִּיI notאוֹמֵרsayלָכֶםunto youכַּאֲשֶׁרasאָמַרְתִּיI saidלַאֲבוֹתֵיכֶםunto your fathersמַלְאָכִיmy angelיַעֲלֶהshall go upלִפְנֵיכֶםbefore youאַךְbutלֹאnotפָּנַי׃my presence

    Therefore, let not your hearts faint, for I say not unto you as I said unto your fathers: Mine angel shall go up before you, but not my presence.

20. 20

    כִּי־אִםButאֹמֵרI sayלָכֶםunto youמַלְאָכַיmy angelsיַעֲלוּshall go upלִפְנֵיכֶםbefore youוְגַםand alsoפָּנַיmy presenceוּבָעֵתand in timeתִּירְשׁוּyou shall possessהָאָרֶץthe landהַטּוֹבָה׃goodly

    But I say unto you: Mine angels shall go up before you, and also my presence, and in time ye shall possess the goodly land.

21. 21

    אָמֵןverilyאָמֵןverilyאֲנִיIאֹמֵרsayלָכֶםunto youכִּיthatעַבְדִּיmy servantיוֹסֵףJosephסְמִיתSmithהַבֵּןJun.הוּאisהָאִישׁthe manאֲשֶׁרto whomדִּמִּיתִיI likenedלָעֶבֶדthe servantאֲשֶׁרto whomדִּבֶּרspokeאֵלָיוunto himאֲדוֹןthe Lord ofהַכֶּרֶםthe vineyardבַּמָּשָׁלin the parableאֲשֶׁרwhichנָתַתִּיI have givenלָכֶם׃unto you

    Verily, verily I say unto you, that my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., is the man to whom I likened the servant to whom the Lord of the vineyard spake in the parable which I have given unto you.

    לָכֵןthereforeיֹאמַרlet sayעַבְדִּיmy servantיוֹסֵףJosephסְמִיתSmithהַבֵּןJun.לְעֹזunto the strength ofבֵּיתִיmy houseבַּחוּרַיmy young menוּבֵינוֹנַיand the middle agedהֵאָסְפוּGather yourselvesיַחְדָּוtogetherאֶל־אֶרֶץunto the land ofצִיּוֹןZionעַלuponהָאָרֶץthe landאֲשֶׁרwhichקָנִיתִיI have boughtבְּכֶסֶףwith moneyאֲשֶׁר־הֻקְדַּשׁthat has been consecratedלִי׃unto me

    Therefore let my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., say unto the strength of my house, my young men and the middle aged—Gather yourselves together unto the land of Zion, upon the land which I have bought with money that has been consecrated unto me.

23. 23

    וְיִשְׁלְחוּand let send upכׇּל־הַכְּנֵסִיּוֹתall the churchesאֲנָשִׁיםmenחֲכָמִיםwiseעִםwithכַּסְפֵּיהֶםtheir moneysוְיִקְנוּand purchaseאֲרָצוֹתlandsכַּאֲשֶׁרeven asצִוִּיתִים׃I have commanded them

    And let all the churches send up wise men with their moneys, and purchase lands even as I have commanded them.

24. 24

    וּכְפִיand inasmuch asאֲשֶׁרthatיָבֹאוּcomeאֹיְבַיmy enemiesעֲלֵיכֶםagainst youלְגָרֵשׁto driveאֶתְכֶםyouמֵאַרְצִיfrom my landהַטּוֹבָהgoodlyאֲשֶׁרwhichהִקְדַּשְׁתִּיI have consecratedלִהְיוֹתto beאֶרֶץthe land ofצִיּוֹןZionגַּםevenמֵאַרְצוֹתֵיכֶםfrom your own landsאַחֲרֵיafterהָעֵדֻיּוֹתtestimoniesהָאֵלֶּהtheseאֲשֶׁרwhichהֵבֵאתֶםyou have broughtלְפָנַיbefore meעֲלֵיהֶםagainst themתְּקַלְּלוּם׃you shall curse them

    And inasmuch as mine enemies come against you to drive you from my goodly land, which I have consecrated to be the land of Zion, even from your own lands after these testimonies, which ye have brought before me against them, ye shall curse them;

25. 25

    וְאֶת־אֲשֶׁרand whomsoeverתְּקַלְּלוּyou curseאֲקַלֵּלI will curseוְתִנְקְמוּand you shall avengeלִיmeמֵאֹיְבַי׃of my enemies

    And whomsoever ye curse, I will curse, and ye shall avenge me of mine enemies.

26. 26

    וּפָנַיand my presenceיִהְיֶהshall beאִתְּכֶםwith youגַּםevenבְּהִנָּקְמִיin avenging meמֵאֹיְבַיof my enemiesעַדuntoהַדּוֹרthe generationהַשְּׁלִישִׁיthirdוְהָרְבִיעִיand fourthלְשֹׂנְאָי׃of them that hate me

    And my presence shall be with you even in avenging me of mine enemies, unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.

27. 27

    אַלlet noיִירָאbe afraidאִישׁmanלְהַנִּיחַto lay downנַפְשׁוֹhis lifeלְמַעֲנִיfor my sakeכִּיforכׇל־הַמַּנִּיחַwhoso lays downנַפְשׁוֹhis lifeלְמַעֲנִיfor my sakeיִמְצָאֶנָּהshall find itשֵׁנִית׃again

    Let no man be afraid to lay down his life for my sake; for whoso layeth down his life for my sake shall find it again.

28. 28

    וְכׇל־אֲשֶׁרand whosoאֵינוֹis notרוֹצֶהwillingלְהַנִּיחַto lay downנַפְשׁוֹhis lifeלְמַעֲנִיfor my sakeאֵינוֹis notתַלְמִידִי׃my disciple

    And whoso is not willing to lay down his life for my sake is not my disciple.

29. 29

    רְצוֹנִיit is my willאֲשֶׁרthatיָרִיםhe shall lift upעַבְדִּיmy servantסִידְנִיSidneyרִיגְדּוֹןRigdonקוֹלוֹhis voiceבַּקְּהִלּוֹתin the congregationsבְּאַרְצוֹתin the countries ofהַמִּזְרָחthe eastלְהָכִיןin preparingהַכְּנֵסִיּוֹתthe churchesלִשְׁמֹרto keepהַמִּצְוֹתthe commandmentsאֲשֶׁרwhichנָתַתִּיI have givenלָהֶםunto themעַלconcerningהֲשָׁבַתthe restorationוּגְאֻלַּתand redemption ofצִיּוֹן׃Zion

    It is my will that my servant Sidney Rigdon shall lift up his voice in the congregations in the eastern countries, in preparing the churches to keep the commandments which I have given unto them concerning the restoration and redemption of Zion.

    רְצוֹנִיit is my willאֲשֶׁרthatלֹאnotיָשׁוּבוּshould returnעַבְדִּיmy servantפַּרְלִיParleyפִּ.P.פְּרֶטPrattוְעַבְדִּיand my servantלִימָןLymanוַייְטWightלְאֶרֶץto the land ofאֲחֵיהֶםtheir brethrenעַדuntilאֲשֶׁרthatיַשִּׂיגוּthey have obtainedפְּלֻגּוֹתcompaniesלַעֲלוֹתto go upאֶל־אֶרֶץunto the land ofצִיּוֹןZionבַּעֲשָׂרוֹתby tensאוֹorבְּעֶשְׂרִיםby twentiesאוֹorבַּחֲמִשִּׁיםby fiftiesאוֹorבְּמֵאָהby an hundredעַדuntilאֲשֶׁרthatיַשִּׂיגוּthey have obtainedלְמִסְפַּרto the number ofחֲמֵשׁfiveמֵאוֹתhundredמֵעֹזof the strength ofבֵּיתִי׃my house

    It is my will that my servant Parley P. Pratt and my servant Lyman Wight should not return to the land of their brethren, until they have obtained companies to go up unto the land of Zion, by tens, or by twenties, or by fifties, or by an hundred, until they have obtained to the number of five hundred of the strength of my house.

31. 31

    הִנֵּהbeholdזֶהthis isרְצוֹנִיmy willשַׁאֲלוּaskוּתְקַבֵּלוּand you shall receiveאַךְbutבְּנֵיthe sons ofאָדָםmenאֵינָםdo notעֹשִׂיםdoרְצוֹנִיmy willתָמִיד׃always

    Behold this is my will; ask and ye shall receive; but men do not always do my will.

32. 32

    לָכֵןthereforeאִםifלֹאnotתוּכְלוּyou cannotלְהַשִּׂיגobtainחֲמֵשׁfiveמֵאוֹתhundredבַּקְּשׁוּseekהֵיטֵבdiligentlyאוּלַיthat peradventureתַּשִּׂיגוּyou may obtainשְׁלֹשׁthreeמֵאוֹת׃hundred

    Therefore, if you cannot obtain five hundred, seek diligently that peradventure you may obtain three hundred.

33. 33

    וְאִםand ifלֹאnotתוּכְלוּyou cannotלְהַשִּׂיגobtainשְׁלֹשׁthreeמֵאוֹתhundredבַּקְּשׁוּseekהֵיטֵבdiligentlyאוּלַיthat peradventureתַּשִּׂיגוּyou may obtainמֵאָה׃one hundred

    And if ye cannot obtain three hundred, seek diligently that peradventure ye may obtain one hundred.

34. 34

    אַךְButאָמֵןverilyאֲנִיIאֹמֵרsayלָכֶםunto youמִצְוָהa commandmentנוֹתֵןI giveלָכֶםunto youאֲשֶׁרthatלֹאnotתַעֲלוּyou shall go upאֶל־אֶרֶץunto the land ofצִיּוֹןZionעַדuntilאֲשֶׁרthatתַּשִּׂיגוּyou have obtainedמֵאָהa hundredמֵעֹזof the strength ofבֵּיתִיmy houseלַעֲלוֹתto go upאִתְּכֶםwith youאֶל־אֶרֶץunto the land ofצִיּוֹן׃Zion

    But verily I say unto you, a commandment I give unto you, that ye shall not go up unto the land of Zion until you have obtained a hundred of the strength of my house, to go up with you unto the land of Zion.

    לָכֵןthereforeכַּאֲשֶׁרasאָמַרְתִּיI saidלָכֶםunto youשַׁאֲלוּaskוּתְקַבֵּלוּand you shall receiveהִתְפַּלְּלוּprayהֵיטֵבearnestlyאוּלַיthat peradventureיֵלֵךְmay goעַבְדִּיmy servantיוֹסֵףJosephסְמִיתSmithהַבֵּןJun.אִתְּכֶםwith youוְיִפְקֹדand presideבְּתוֹךְin the midst ofעַמִּיmy peopleוִיכוֹנֵןand organizeמַלְכוּתִיmy kingdomעַלuponהָאֶרֶץthe landהַמֻּקְדֶּשֶׁתconsecratedוְיָכִיןand establishבְּנֵיthe children ofצִיּוֹןZionעַלuponהַחֻקִּיםthe lawsוְהַמִּצְוֹתand commandmentsאֲשֶׁרwhichנִתְּנוּhave been givenוַאֲשֶׁרand whichיִנָּתְנוּshall be givenלָכֶם׃unto you

    Therefore, as I said unto you, ask and ye shall receive; pray earnestly that peradventure my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., may go with you, and preside in the midst of my people, and organize my kingdom upon the consecrated land, and establish the children of Zion upon the laws and commandments which have been and which shall be given unto you.

    כׇּל־נִצָּחוֹןAll victoryוְכָבוֹדand gloryמוּבָאis brought to passלָכֶםunto youבְּשָׁקְדְכֶםthrough your diligenceוּבֶאֱמוּנַתְכֶםand faithfulnessוּתְפִלּוֹתand prayers ofאֱמוּנַתְכֶם׃your faith

    All victory and glory is brought to pass unto you through your diligence, faithfulness, and prayers of faith.
